maplestoryclassic.net is an unofficial fan site. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or approved by Nexon, and it is not an official MapleStory or MapleStory Classic World website. Nothing written here should be read as an announcement from Nexon.

Unofficial fan site

This site is written and run by an independent operator. It publishes guides about MapleStory Classic World because launch information is spread across several pages. It is a commentary and information project, not a service of the game's publisher.

In practice, this site cannot give you access to the game, process purchases, recover an account or speak for Nexon. It has no inside information, no early access to patch notes and no relationship with the developers. Anything account- or install-related has to go through Nexon's own channels.

Trademarks and intellectual property

MapleStory, MapleStory Classic World and all related names, logos, artwork, characters and marks belong to Nexon and their respective owners. They are used here for identification, description and commentary only. Their appearance implies no partnership, sponsorship, approval or endorsement, and no ownership is claimed. Guide text on this site is our own writing.

How we handle dates and official information

Launch dates, times, install steps and account-linking instructions here are quoted from Nexon's official Classic World FAQ and attributed to it, so you can check them against the source. When an official answer is truncated in the copy we could source, we say so instead of filling in the blank. A guess presented as fact is worse than an acknowledged gap, because players plan around it.

If anything here disagrees with a current Nexon announcement, treat the Nexon announcement as correct and this site as out of date.

Where we leave gaps on purpose

Two answers in Nexon's FAQ are cut off in the material we work from, and we do not fill them in. Check the official FAQ for macOS support and name-sharing details.

Community-compiled data

Some pages go beyond the official FAQ: the starting class list, first job advancement at level 10, the launch level cap, the early-game band, and meso advice. That material is community-compiled, unverified by Nexon, and labelled as such wherever it appears. It reflects what players have gathered, not an official specification, and may change as the launch build develops. Where we have no reliable number, such as drop rates, meso rates, prices or damage figures, we write around it rather than inventing one. The Money & Market page explains why we publish no price tables.

Verify what matters

Read this site as a starting point. Cross-check launch details against the official FAQ, see Getting Started for install steps, and treat forum claims with the same caution. The Privacy Policy and Terms of Service cover how the site is run.
